Easter Alarm

 

The Gro Clock alarm -

Yes - it works like a charm

For youngsters it shows when to wake

But set one hour too soon,

When there's still a full moon,

The damn thing I just want to break.

Who set it for six?

Who got up to these tricks,

To wake three young boys from their sleep?

" 'Twas their mum," hear me yelp

(Drinking wine didn't help)

Now they pile on in one great big heap.

It's Easter they cry

'Give us chocolate or die!'

It's a threat that will leave you bereft.

With a scratch and a fart

It's a real early start.

As for bedtime? Still fourteen hours left.
