Serving Coffee

You come each day and take your seat

You use this place as your retreat

Protected from the winter gloom

So lonely in a crowded room

You barely speak

So small, so weak

Let me enfold you

You place your order with a smile

And take your book to read a while

I wish that you would realise

Just why I gaze into your eyes

I wish you'd see

That this is me

Let me enfold you

I bring your coffee in my dreams

Where nothing is the way it seems

You look my way and see me smile

The world is silent for a while

You understand

And take my hand

Then you enfold me

You hold me in your warm embrace

You kiss my lips and stroke my face

We hold each other close and tight

The moment's now it feels so right

I start to shake

Then I awake

No one to hold me
