I am a restless traveller
I am a restless traveller. A pack upon my back
There's nothing I like better than to head off down the track
I've walked down dusty highways on a journey without end
Seen wonders so amazing they are hard to comprehend
Let me tell you where I've travelled. Let me tell you where I've been
Let me tell you of the places and the countries I have seen
Afghanistan, Bolivia, Columbia, Djibouti,
Egypt, France and Ghana and the sovereign state of Haiti,
Ireland, Jordan, Kosovo, Laos, Mauritania
Norway, Oman, Pakistan, Qatar and Romania,
The Seychelles, Thailand, Uruguay, the land of Vanuatu
West Samoa, Yemen and Zimbabwe. Yes it's true,
In China there were cities I just could not pass by;
Xichang, Xinghua , Xilinhot and in the north Xingtai.
I've travelled all around the globe. I never seem to rest
But the spot that I call home 's the place I love the best
I have crossed the scorching desert when my throat was dry and sore
I have swum a swelling ocean and been thrown upon the shore
I have climbed the highest mountains. Walked their valleys so serene
Ploughed through humid forests with a thousand shades of green
I have ridden stormy waters as I sailed across the sea
Seen the albatross and petrel riding thermals wild and free
I’ve been lost in scorching deserts and was frozen on the ice
I’ve been blown by mighty hurricanes which wasn’t very nice

The blue, majestic icebergs I watched floating in south
Saw an orca leaping - gleaming teeth inside its mouth
The humpback and the narwhale I saw drift upon the tide
I travelled down great estuaries three thousand metres wide
I've walked on the savannah and have ridden on the plain
I have camped upon the pampas and would do it all again
I am a restless traveller. I have walked the earth around
But the feeling I enjoy the most is when I'm homeward bound
